The spine is a complex area of the body. It offers a wide array of movements, whilst supporting your organs, daily activities and allowing you sport & exercise.
There are 3-4 common types of back and neck pain that can involve discs, facet joints, nerves and muscles. Getting an accurate diagnosis is key to ensuing you have the right path to recovery.
Like the spine, the shoulder is a surprisingly complex area. The shoulder blade and glenohumeral joint allow for a wide range of movements we often take for granted.
There are many ligaments, tendon attached to the area, as well as cartilage. Any of these tissue can become injured or develop pain from overuse or a sudden traumatic injury like a trip or fall.
We use this area of the body for a broad range of demands. Fine control like writing or crafting to pulling and pushing heavy objects.
Although these area are robust to these daily activities, issues like tennis elbow, RSI, carpal tunnel and tendonitis can put a quick stop to what we do on a daily basis at work and at home.
The pelvis area balances a mixture or movement and stability based demands in our daily activity.
A lack of mobility and strength in the area can lead to issues involving back pain, hip joint arthritis, pelvic floor issues. It’s also the site of common sports issue like Gilmore’s Groin, adductor and gluteal tears and tendinopathies.
The knee comes with a mixture of stresses and stains from work, sport and our jobs. For the size of the joint has to mange a wide range of demand like simple walking to high intensity jumping and activity.
The cartilage, tendons and ligaments in knees have to adapt to these loads over time or risk traumatic or degnerative based injuries.
