What is the Microbiome?

The gut microbiome has been identified and recognised as a crucial determinant of intestinal inflammation and a key player in serval chronic inflammatory diseases. Changes in the gut microbial population can contribute to the onset and progression of IBS, IBD, SIBO, Celiac and other gut related issues.

Having spent over 30 years in academia and research, Rebecca the founder of BiomiCare realised people needed to understand their microbiome health. Osteopaths & other therapists refer to their patients to Rebecca to gain a wider understanding of overall health.

Rebecca is a lecturer at SETU Waterford in School of Science where she completed her PHD. Her focus on molecular biology and bio-analysis goes hand in hand with the aims and purpose of BiomiCare.

Gut biome testing, how it works?

Starting with 15 mins case discussion and screening appointment Rebecca explores your aims and objectives to ensure the the microbiome analysis is right for you.

If suitable, you then are shown how to use the easy sample kit and send back to Rebecca for analysis. 

The laboratory completes a start-of-the-art analysis giving Rebecca the raw data of your microbiome. 

Rebecca then books a follow up 50 mins appointment with you to give you an in-depth summary of the results and recommendations moving forwards.
